A beautifully unusual 19th century Japanese campaign chest. The classic style was used by the Chinese for carrying their personal belongings. 

The carrying handles of the lower part click into the upper to keep it in place. The lower section comprises 2 long drawers and the upper section has 2 doors enclosing 2 large drawers and 2 other smaller drawers. 

The condition of the chest is very good. It has been recently woodworm treated and the wood has been oiled. 

Measurements: 
Approx 110cm (height) x 104cm (width) x 50cm (depth).
