A lovely original ebonised Fry’s Chocolate display cabinet from 1901. The base is carved with J S Fry & Sons Ltd with the lettering picked out in gold. The cabinet has a hinged mirrored back door to the rear and 2 glass shelves supported on internal fittings.
This cabinet is in fantastic original condition. It would have originally had an arched top but it's now missing, and the screws show where it would have been placed.
The original sticker and stamp can be found on the base. The sticker reads 'THIS CASE is supplied at less than three-fourths Cost, on the distinct understanding that it is to be used only for the display of CHOCOLATE and COCOA manufactured by Messrs. J. S. FRY & SONS. Limited'.
