A charming beech and pine wood mix console table, originally a printers table. Antique printers tables were primarily used in 19th and early 20th-century print shops as specialised workstations for typesetting and arranging metal letters (type) before printing. These, often called composing tables or imposing stones, featured heavy, flat surfaces—sometimes metal-topped—to lay out type and, in some cases, incorporated storage drawers for sorting letters. Now, its the perfect size for a console or hallway table.
